A Pokémon Sun and Moon version on the Nintendo Switch console is already in the works.
Pokémon Sun and Moon has just been released worldwide today. With a reported amount of over 10 million units shipped in just its first batch, the biggest-ever initial shipment for the 3DS platform recorded, things are looking up for Nintendo.
The Nintendo Switch, previously known as codename ‘Nintendo NX’, is Nintendo’s new hybrid console. The platform can go from being used on a TV with its docking system and slide off controllers, to being a handheld portable gaming device. So basically, it’s a Transformer. The Nintendo Switch is slated to be released March 2017.
The Nintendo Switch will be the first home console to get a core Pokémon game. Eurogamer reports that the upcoming hybrid console is to receive a new version of the just-released Pokémon Sun and Moon game in 2017. The Nintendo Switch version will be titled Pokémon Stars, the new title will feature updated HD assets and many more bonuses on the Switch system. Pokémon Stars on the Nintendo Switch alone makes the new platform worth picking up.
