Halo 5 Warthog

Forza Horizon 3 boasts over 350+ vehicles – 150 more than what Forza Horizon 2 had available. Playground Games has unveiled one final surprise for Halo Fans; The Halo 5 Warthog. This version of the Halo Warthog, however, is a civilian transport and lacks any weaponry onboard. Basically, it’s a Warthog without the turret on its backend.

Forza Horizon 3 has gone gold, moving onto the manufacturing stages and delivering to retailers prior to its launch on September 27th. The Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive title have spent the last six weeks introducing every single car available to players. The developers saved one last surprise for us, the Halo 5 Warthog; here’s what they announced.

“What it may lack in brute force – you won’t find a turret on this version – it more than makes up for with it’s 720 bhp twin turbo V8, making it significantly faster than its FAV counterpart. The Warthog CST in Forza Horizon 3 is also ideally suited for the rough and tumble landscape of Australia. With the most advanced suspension in Forza Horizon 3 (with more than 70 cm of suspension travel), plus advanced dampening, you won’t find the combination of power and stability like this anywhere else in the Horizon Festival.”

However, with all great things, there’s a catch, the Halo 5 Warthog won’t be available on the disc of Forza Horizon 3. Rather than coming with the game, the Warthog will be available as a free download to all players that have played either Halo 5: Guardians or the Halo: Master Chief Collection. Codes will begin to be sent to players as early as September 5th.




Good news for those that haven’t purchased either of the Halo games required, There will be another opportunity to unlock the Halo 5 Warthog. They haven’t gone into details just yet but one thing mentioned was to pay attention to the October #Forzathon event.

With the announcement of the Halo 5 Warthog; Developers, Playground Games had also announced a handful of other things for the game. The official PC specifications needed to run the Windows 10 version of the game, List of languages supported in Forza Horizon 3 and finally the reveal of all possible achievements.

Forza Horizon 3 is racing into stores for both Windows 10 and the Xbox One on September 27th. Dedicated fans that purchased the Ultimate Edition receive early access on September 23rd.
