Former NBA Star Kobe Bryant Has Died In A Helicopter Crash In Southern California

Devastating news this morning when Kobe Bryant was reported to have been travelling with eight others in his private helicopter when the tragedy happened. LA County Sheriffs Department confirmed that unfortunately, nobody has survived. Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna was also flying with her father at the time of the accident.

A Call for a downed helicopter went out at 10:01 AM this morning at the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department. Emergency services rushed to the scene to put out the fire. It was reported that all nine people aboard were already deceased, which included Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, among others.

Kobe was often compared to Michael Jordan. The Los Angeles Lakers star won five championships with the team. The tragic news comes just hours after he toasted to fellow NBA icon Lebron James for passing him to third place on the league’s all-time scoring list.

Bryant was NBA’s most valuable player back in 2008 and two-time NBA finals MVP. He was also a two-time Olympic champion and NBA scoring champion. Well-known for the signature Kobe throw.
