Resident Evil 7 Experience So Real That It Even Puts VR To Shame

Resident Evil 7 is already highly anticipated for reasons we spoke about recently. Now, on top of being available to terrify you in VR, Capcom have announced a live action experience. The Experience – London will be holding a special event that takes people into Resident Evil 7 and the Baker’s home.

Not only can you dive right into the horror of Resident Evil 7 but the event is also free! For those of you who are in London this month Resident Evil 7: The Experience runs from January 20-23rd. The event tickets, 28 per day, will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis and 2 people can go through at a time.

If you’ve played the Resident Evil 7 demo then you already have an idea of the storyline in The Experience. The event runs for 45 minutes and takes people through the Baker mansion with The Sewer Gators paranormal TV crew. While creeping through the unsettling atmosphere set in the Baker mansion participants will have to solve puzzles and search for clues to find missing journalists.

If you decide to head down to Dray Walk Gallery in London be sure to get there bright and early. Queues start at 11:30 am GMT and people who get a ticket can leave the venue temporarily or stick around to play a new demo of Resident Evil 7. Further, information on the website indicates there will be blood splatter, confined spaces, shocking scenes, and actors who touch participants.

In a push to bring the Resident Evil franchise back to its survival horror glory, Capcom amped up the PR. As well as the London Experience event there is also a Baker mansion scented candle to help immersion. In addition, Capcom also sent certain lucky gamers rotting fingers that were actually USB sticks.

Whether you get to experience the London event or not, get your spare pants ready. Gamers are in for a fearful January and some very eery gameplay. Resident Evil 7 launches January 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
