Famous actress turned pop singer, Ariana Grande is being added as a playable character in the smartphone game Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius. Ariana Grande announced her team up with the Final Fantasy game via Instagram at the start of the year.
Grande’s character in Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is available through a limited time in-game event. Furthermore, it seems her character is based off the character she portrays in her new album Dangerous Woman. Notably, the album cover for Dangerous Woman features the same bunny ears as her character in the game.
Ariana Grande expressed her excitement on Instagram and said of her character:
*crying* check out my character in the game, it’s the cutest thing i’ve ever seen in my entire life and i’m so excited and in love with it i cannot contain myself.”
Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius is a turn-based game with sweet old school graphics and a ton of quests. The addition of Grande’s character is courtesy of Gumi and sure to bring many new fans to this Japanese RPG phone version of Final Fantasy.
Ariana Grande song ‘Touch It’ gets a Final Fantasy twist
In addition to Grande’s new bunny-eared character her song ‘Touch it’ got a Final Fantasy style remix. This news comes as part of her collaboration with Square Enix and Gumi. I wonder how it will fit into what it said to be a great soundtrack to a classic phone game. In addition, the ‘Touch it’ remix which is produced by Nick Wood from SYN Productions, features a 52-piece orchestra.
More details about when Ariana Grande’s character will release will come mid-January according to Square Enix. Finally, the in-game events come as a celebration of Square Enix confirming Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius passing 9 million downloads since its release in 2016. Moreover, players will receive a ‘significant boost’ to their daily log-in bonuses during the event.
